We were only home for 5.5 weeks. We enjoyed this time and got a lot done.

Today is the last appointment in Flims and tomorrow, Thursday, the last appointment in Seengen.

And then we can get started. We drive north - with detours to the west and east. Some goals have been set - but a lot of unknown and new things are also waiting for us.

We'll be surprised and we hope you will be too. One thing is clear: we'll report back.

Hansruedi's appointment at Figaro Max was brought forward by 2.5 hours yesterday. No problem for us,

And so today we unexpectedly hit the road again much earlier. We spontaneously decide to skip our originally planned destination of Bad Dürrheim. We've been there so many times.

So today we are already heading northwest.

Our destination: The parking space at the Saarlandtherme in Kleinblittersdorf near Saarbrücken.

On our first long tour in spring 2015, we wanted to stay at this brand new campsite. But there were delays in construction and so it hadn't opened yet.

Today it is a popular place with large plots and a beautiful view. And the best thing is that there is now a restaurant right next door. Of course we had to try it out and we found it to be good.

Average consumption: 8.6 liters

Average speed 69 km/h

Travel time: 4 hours 41 minutes

Friday, 06 May

Tomorrow 10 °C

Noon 21°C

Evening 16 °C

The weather forecast promised it and it kept its promise - the sun is shining!

We start the day leisurely, have a hearty breakfast and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Shortly before 11 a.m. we are finally ready to go and we set off on our e-bikes along the Saar towards Saarbrücken. A beautiful and varied route. We curve through the city, end up in the German-French garden and finally even in a restaurant with a beer garden. The lunch is great and, strengthened, we manage the remaining kilometers back to our Pfüdi.

Now it's time to laze around, the temperatures are almost summery - wonderful!

Our kitchen has a completely free day today. The tarte flambée in the nearby restaurant tastes excellent.

Daily distance: 39 km with the e-bikes to Saarbrücken and back

Pitch costs: 13.00 Euro including water/electricity, electricity extra (we don't need it)

Saturday, 07 May

Tomorrow 8 °C

Noon 23°C

Evening 18 °C

Today's e-bike tour takes us 55 km through beautiful green landscapes. We change countries more than once. Sometimes we cycle in Germany, sometimes in France.

We pass a small monastery, a lookout tower and of course a small restaurant.

The Blies river accompanies us again and again. There are also hills here, we conquer 500 meters in altitude.

We've earned the rest of the day to laze around. The sun is shining beautifully from the sky again today.

Daily distance: 55 km with the e-bikes

Pitch costs: 13.00 Euro including water/electricity, electricity extra (we don't need it)

Sunday, 08 May

Tomorrow 11 °C

Noon 22°C

Evening 18 °C

Today we are driving to a new country for us - Luxembourg. We drive along the Saar for quite a long time before turning east. We cross the Moselle and hey presto we are in Luxembourg. The Kockelscheurer campsite is ideally located just outside the city of Luxembourg. Oops, it really is having a lunch break.

We are standing in the waiting lane and are just thinking about what we want to do. We can check in in an hour. Suddenly a caravan whizzes past us, stops right in front of the barrier and now blocks almost the entire path for parking lot traffic.

After a few minutes, the lady at reception comes and gives him a piece of her mind. Out of consideration for our Pfüdi, she doesn't let him drive backwards, but opens the barrier whether she likes it or not. We can't help but make a fitting comment.

The check-in process is extremely cool for the gentleman. Of course we are allowed in now. Our check-in is extremely friendly, even cheerful, and we receive some important information about the bus timetable, bus stop, etc.

We also learn that tomorrow, Monday, is a holiday.

We didn't know that. We were hoping for a quiet Monday. So we set off into the city by bus at 2 p.m. The first thing we do is head for a restaurant, we're hungry. Lots of people are out and about today. The tourist office has a city map with a 4 km long walking tour past the most important sights.

So let's get going. It's really interesting and in this beautiful weather it's twice as much fun.

At 6 p.m. we are quite tired and back at the campsite, enjoying the evening and making plans for the next few days.

Daily route: Kleinblittersdorf D - Luxembourg

Distance: 126 km

Average consumption: 9.1 liters

Average speed 58 km/h

Travel time: 2 hours 9 minutes
