The sun is shining!! We start with a shower, breakfast and shopping.
And our journey continues south. There are two obligatory stops in Dubrovnik. The first is to see the cruise ships and the second is to see the famous view back to the old town of Dubrovnik.
And before we know it, we're at the border with Montenegro. Our passports and vehicle documents are examined closely, then we get another stamp in our passport and we're waved on in a friendly manner.
Shortly afterwards, we made an important stop at the first gas station. We knew from people who had travelled to Montenegro that there are SIM cards available here. With our Swisscomabo we only have 100 MB available, but for 14.90 Swiss francs we could buy a data package of 1 GB.
And here we buy an incredible 500 GB for 15 euros and they are also valid in Albania.
Simply awesome!!!
The SIM card is now in our small WiFi router, which serves as our hotspot. The internet is lightning fast.
But now we're off to Kotor. Today we'll take the short ferry from Kamenari to Lepetane and save ourselves a lot of strenuous kilometers around the bay.
In Kotor we park our Pfüdi in the parking lot officially permitted for motorhomes and walk into the city.
It's already 3:30 p.m. and we're hungry. For once we'll just have a nice pizza and a glass of wine.
As it gets dark, we set off on a photo tour, which then literally falls through as it starts to rain and doesn't seem to want to stop.
We come back pretty wet and make ourselves comfortable.
We are amazed that we are only standing here with a small bus from Spain. The place is guarded and quiet.

Here is another picture of our overnight spot in Kotor.
The car park is about 500 metres from the centre. It is quiet, you can only enter through the barrier and it is guarded 24 hours a day. The small bus next to us is a Spanish woman travelling alone.
She felt very comfortable around us.
The day greets us with bright sunshine. Actually, perfect for climbing the many, many steps to Fort San Giovanni.
But on the one hand it's still a bit too much for my new hip and on the other hand the first storm clouds are soon gathering on the mountains and fog is wafting around the peaks. Maybe it will work on the way back.
So we set off for Ulcinj and this time we head for Camping Safari Beach.
On the way, we are amazed by the large amount of construction activity on the coast of Montenegro. But we don't find what is being built here particularly beautiful - one large hotel complex follows the other. It somehow reminds us of Spain.
In Ulcinj the sun has chased away all dangerous clouds and we enjoy the first long walks on the beach.

Today we're off to Albania. The wait at the border is bearable.
This time we definitely want to exchange a few euros into Albanian LEK right after the border. But all the exchange booths are unoccupied.
We also change our original plan and do not go to Lake Shkodra Resort. From here we would like to make one or two trips into the mountains of Albania. At the moment the first storm clouds are gathering in the mountains shortly after sunrise. There is no point in doing this. Perhaps the weather will be more stable on the way back.
So we head south - Greece is waiting for us with good weather.
Like 4 years ago, today we are heading to the Pa emer campsite. It is located a little south of Durres.
The lovely old lady is still on duty and explains everything you need to know in a mixture of English and German and collects the money.
Opinions about this place are very divided. It probably also depends on whether you are here in the off-season or the high season. Not all of the pitches are accessible yet, but a nice spot by the sea awaits us and it is tidier than it was 4 years ago.

Today our Pfüdi is especially "sexy"!
We have already driven it 66,666 km with flying colors and without any accidents!
We are looking forward to the next 66,666 km!
Everything that has wheels, hooves or feet is on the road on Albanian roads.
From the chic Porsche to the old jalopy, from the newest truck to the totally rusted delivery van,
Donkey carts, cyclists (mostly very old bikes) and pedestrians of all ages.
And one or another means of transport just gives up the ghost and causes a huge traffic jam in a flash!
After many, many bends we reach the top of the Llogara pass.
We have been amazed all day by the number of people out and about.
Whole families stroll through the towns and villages, almost every restaurant is full at lunchtime.
Well, Google knows everything, you just have to look it up. We are not always well prepared, we just travel without thinking. Time and again we come across interesting events that we didn't know about before. Today we celebrate the end of Ramadan!
At the top of the pass we also find a restaurant with a large parking lot and we treat ourselves to a real feast!
Strengthened in this way, we take the many, many more bends under our wheels, cross small villages, marvel at the hotel complexes that are being built on the beaches, avoid all kinds of road users (dogs, goats, sheep, horses and also cows) and at the end of the day we end up at the parking space in Sarande right by the sea.
And what a day - as if we hadn't seen and experienced enough today, we had to rescue the site owner from the river together with a German camper. For reasons unknown to us, she stupidly fell over a small rock wall into the water and injured herself in the process.
But all's well that ends well, the rescue is successful, Oxana is taken to the doctor and we can finally enjoy our well-earned evening off.

Our last evening in Albania for now - a beautiful sunset to finish off!
When we leave this morning, there are three cars in front of us. We're sure we'll have to wait 10 minutes and we're wondering again how long it will take in high season.
Then comes the entry into Greece. You have to get out and go to the police counter and wait patiently. There are three cars in front of us there too. But if you're unlucky it can take a long time. The passports of the four men in the car in front of us are meticulously scanned from front to back or whatever.
A border guard waves to Hansruedi and allows him to drive past the cars. Our passports are checked in no time and we can drive off.
We have arrived in Greece!
Shopping and filling up with diesel are at the top of our to-do list today. That always takes time. But at Igumeniza we can do everything. And we finally understand where the time has gone - Greece is already an hour ahead in time and we no longer knew it. Somehow we are always running a little behind that hour today.
We start looking for a place to stay overnight.
Preferably a nice campsite - we would like to take a break.
Well, sometimes this search is tedious. We drive a lot further than planned and end up at Camping Desimi on Lefkada. The plump nose couldn't be any closer to the water, the view is beautiful - we are happy. Thanks to our shopping, it doesn't matter that the restaurant is still closed. We enjoy our dinner right by the sea.

We start a sunny, pleasantly warm day and enjoy our first breakfast outside.
At some point around midday we get on our e-bikes and cycle to Nidri.
On the harbor promenade we are spoiled for choice as to which restaurant we want to eat at.
Our campsite is at the beginning of a peninsula. To burn off some more calories, we drive out to Genion. There are some great villas there.
Right at the top there is also culture. After a short bike ride we find ourselves at the grave of Wilhem Dörpfeld, a German architect and archaeologist.
We are never too lazy to change our pitch. We did just that this morning after consulting the campsite operator. Suddenly, two metres away from us, instead of a view, we only had a motorhome wall to admire.
Most people are amazed when we move our car. But we don't mind. It's done so quickly and we're happy and content again and don't have to worry.
Daily distance: 20km with the e-bikes
Pitch costs: Camping 20.00 Euro, including water/supply and electricity
