We have barely started when the Lyngvig Lighthouse is already the first stop on our route today. Of course we also cross the dunes. We don't miss the view of the beach. Almost deserted!

There are many stops and many dunes that we climb up to enjoy the views.

The viewing parking lot at Bovbjerb Fyr would be a great place to spend the night. But there is also a sign saying: Parking of motorhomes is prohibited between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.

So we chug on to Thyboron. We enjoy our lunch break with a view of these photogenic wind turbines.

But we are also very happy with the view from our parking spot in Struer.

We laze around for the rest of the day. There is always something to watch and time flies.

Oops, the sky greets us this morning with a new color - gray! We need a new weather symbol! We do have fog, but it will be gone by 10:00 a.m.

Today we gondola through Thy National Park.

A few dead-end roads lead to the sea. The beaches are often almost deserted. The towns and campsites tend to be a bit full.

In any case, the place in Norre Vorupor is fully booked.

But we find a place for lunch.

The campsite in Klitmoller is also full except for one pitch.

Finally we find a small private camp by a lake just outside of Hanstholm.

We're not surprised that we can easily find a spot here - it's just not by the sea. But we like it. We enjoy the peace and quiet, the sun and the wind is absolutely bearable here - perfect.

We chug further north. We mostly stick to the Margritenroute. The symbol of the scenic route through Denmark. We interrupt our journey for a few detours out to the sea. The side roads usually end at a small or large car park. Some in great locations. But all with a sign saying "No overnight stays".

We accept this and of course adhere to it.

We received the booking confirmation from Lokken Strandcamping for the overnight stays required for entry, but nobody at the border was interested in this. So we arrived here today, albeit late, but that's no problem at all. We only have to pay for the nights we actually spend here.

A long walk takes us past the collapsed bunkers from the Second World War. Today they serve as a base for the works of industrious sprayers.

The white bathing huts are family heirlooms and may not be sold or rented.

Up to 485 of them stand here on the beach in the summer months. As soon as the huts are dismantled, Lokken will once again become a tranquil fishing village.

We are incredibly lucky and get the only pitch on the campsite with a bit of a sea view. We are standing at the edge. Everyone walks past us to the beach (but at a safe distance). The envious glances don't bother us and we always have something to look at.

The Rubjerg Knude Fyr - the sensation in Denmark. Of course we have to go there too. For today, this destination is our e-bike excursion.

The lighthouse was inaugurated in 1900 and in October 2019 it was moved 80 meters inland because it was in danger of falling into the sea.

Remains of the former foundation walls.

Our wonderful place!

The sunsets are fantastically beautiful!

You have to have a lazy day sometimes. And that's what we're doing today.

Well, he's not that lazy after all.

Before breakfast we do a little hand washing.

Yes, and unfortunately we also receive invoices by email or e-bill. So that also means a bit of work these days.

Around midday we explore the town of Lokken on our bikes. We are amazed by the number of people. The second car beach, which you can't see from our campsite, is also very busy.

Of course, a bag of sweets from Bolcheriet is a must as a souvenir.

Another long walk on the beach...

.... and another jump into the cool North Sea.

This day also flies by.

Finally, we plan the coming weekend.

The North Cape of Denmark is waiting to be discovered by us.

We will certainly not be alone.

Grenen - the North Cape of Denmark

This is where the North Sea meets the Baltic Sea and everyone wants to stand with one foot in the North Sea and the other in the Baltic Sea. People even queue up for a photo like this. We watch the whole spectacle from a safe distance.

Our walk along the beach takes us back along the North Sea to the Grenen car park. We like this wonderfully deserted beach much better - especially now in the time of Corona.

Danish Beach Highway

Thanks to our two solar systems, we don't need any electricity, so we can park at the Bunken beach campsite right at the front of the dunes. And since everyone needs electricity, there's not much crowding here at the front.

Ideal in times of Corona.

Rabjerg Mile - Denmark's largest shifting dune

Of course we don’t want to miss this natural phenomenon.

The lighthouse of Hirtshals - we were here for the first time in 2014.

The campsite in Hirtshals is very busy.

Ferries sail to Norway from Hirtshals. This makes the place ideal for spending the night before crossing to Norway.

There ......
