The break did us good. It also helped us to get used to the current heat wave.

We start the day leisurely. After shopping at Carrefour and filling up with diesel, we set off for our destination - Besalù. The leisurely and therefore rather late start is now taking its toll - it is already very hot at 11 a.m. At 32 degrees, our walk through the pretty village is relatively short.

We are changing our plans. That's exactly what a motorhome is for.

We do not drive further west into the interior of the country, but.....

....the shortest way back to the sea!

So we finally ended up in Sant Pere Pescadore, just a few kilometers south of Roses.

The wonderful walk along the sea is a pure pleasure thanks to the wind.

At Camping Aquaris we forego the ACSI discount and treat ourselves to a large

Pitch in the front row, close to the sea. It is even shadier than expected, you can feel the sea breeze from here - simply wonderful. The pitches further back are oppressively hot.

We test the restaurant on the square and are very satisfied.

A new day is dawning! The weather is mixed - but our mood is no longer!

We get around Barcelona very well and reach our destination for today shortly after 1 p.m. - L'Hospitalet de l'infant, just south of Tarragona.

As soon as we parked our Pfüdi, our stomachs started growling loudly. Time for lunch in the campsite restaurant. The 3-course menu for 13 euros wasn't bad at all.

It's extremely windy, so we retreat into our cozy ponies. And then the heavens open!

The road to the campsite turns into a river and large "swimming pools" form on the campsite itself. We are lucky, the spot we have chosen stays dry and we can watch the others tidy up. "After the rain, the sun shines" is true again this time and soon we are sitting outside again and enjoying the rest of the day.
