Monday, October 25 Week 4

A wonderful and eventful dream day in the Camarque. Our e-bike tour takes us through deserted areas and we can observe flamingos very closely. A late lunch to round off our trip.

Chàteau d'Estoublon - once again we spontaneously put on the indicator. And it was worth it! A beautiful castle, a beautiful chapel and a beautiful boutique. Wine and olive oil end up in our Pfüdi and our wallets are a little lighter, so what!!!

Moustiers-Sainte-Marie - and this time we even make it up to the chapel. Simply beautiful!

The campsite is in a very nice location, but unfortunately the fresh water hasn't worked for a long time. It's a shame, because the site isn't cheap and the water would cost extra. But it was still nice!

A wonderful ride through this wonderful autumn weather! And we end the day on the Col du Lautaret.

At just over 2000 m above sea level, the raclette tastes twice as good.

We enjoy our breakfast stop at the Col du Gabalier. But this time we are unlucky again and cannot go all the way to the top but have to go through the tunnel - no idea why. But it is still beautiful.

Somewhere along the way we have to stop and capture these cool characters on camera.

The journey over the Dol du Madleine is impressive, the views fantastic. It goes up and down all day, but Hansruedi masters what feels like a thousand bends with flying colors. The last part of today's route to our overnight spot takes a bit longer. Lots of traffic and lots of construction sites. It is already 5 p.m. before we finally reach our destination for the day.

OK, some people find it boring. We don't - and that's why we celebrate the last evening of the trip once again at the Blueberry Hill campsite.

A wonderful morning atmosphere greets us. It is the clouds that contribute to these great colors. But these clouds also herald a change in the weather - from Monday onwards it is supposed to rain heavily at home. Unloading in the rain is not fun at all, but very tedious. So we spontaneously decide to drive home today. We arrive in Flims shortly after midday.

As always, the most important thing is to be safe and healthy.

The sun has been our faithful companion for the last 3.5 weeks. The temperatures were also mostly very pleasant and the wind was mostly moderate. Rivers, lakes, the Atlantic and the Mediterranean were our main focus and finally the impressive mountain landscape of France. This trip has shown us once again that France has so much to offer - we will be back!
